Take the worry and stress out of your day knowing that you can host a celebration reception on the site of the service and burial. This option is perfect for the out-of-town guests who may not be familiar with the Niagara area.

Our Reception Hall is an 8,000 square foot building boasting our Hearth Room that can seat up to 75 people comfortably. These modern facilities offer clean restrooms, gymnasium with alternate seating option for up to 140 people for dining, a full-size restaurant-style equipped kitchen, plus parking for guests.

The St. John’s Reception Hall, which includes the recently redecorated Hearth Room, the full kitchen, and a regulation size gym, is available for rent on a single or repeated use basis.

Insurance must be paid separately to the Diocese – for a typical family function, with the cost being $27 or $54 if serving alcohol. In that case, an LCBO permit is also required.

The Hearth Room is typically used for funeral receptions, dinners, family parties, showers and meetings.  You may prepare your own food in our kitchen or choose to have your function catered.

Single rental rates are as follows: 

Gym & Hearth Room – $400

Gym only                –   $300   (125 – 140 for dining; 170 on chairs for a meeting)

Hearth Room only    –  $200   (50 – 75 for dining; 85 on chairs for a meeting)

Kitchen                   –   $100
