Our History

Established in 1841, St. John’s Public Cemetery has continuously served the residents of the Town of Lincoln, the Region of Niagara as well as Niagara Falls and Buffalo, New York. From its inception, the trustees and Cemetery Board have faithfully endeavoured to preserve the dignity and serenity of this unique country cemetery. Located at the edge of the historic Village of Jordan, Ontario, St. John’s Public Cemetery is comprised of over four acres overlooking the picturesque vineyards and fruit orchards of the Jordan valley.

St John’s Public Cemetery is a nondenominational, non-profit public cemetery providing personal care and the services to meet you and your family’s requirements.

Located on the same grounds as the cemetery is St. John’s Anglican Church and a hall with a restaurant equipped kitchen. With the influx of empty-nesters moving to Niagara, it often becomes an out of town family member who is in charge of a loved one’s final funeral and burial arrangements. St. John’s Public Cemetery offers the comfort to the family that everything needed is located here on our property and available to you… no matter where you live.
